The world as we know it is full of influential people who not only cradle those who live their lifestyle, but also pull along those who are fighting to get there. These influencers are confident, well respected, and can take an idea or concept and redevelop it into something that touches the souls of its followers. They are never afraid to say “this is what I believe in” which becomes contagious in today’s music, fashion and entertainment.
Through the birth of The Smugger, we created our own nation of influencers. With a style conscious arena we embrace our peers and lay down a path of paved gold that only the brave dare to follow. In “Influencers,” a short documentary by R+I Creative and directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, a breakdown of America’s past and present influencers from hip-hop artists to the street style presence of my fellow fashion bloggers, all blooms together into one creative collage. It brings to light the unrecognized individuals who helped pave the way for us. I want to thank my homies over at LifE KiT for introducing this documentary to us.
