Super Bowl Grub: 7 Layer Salad

Most times for Superbowls, people make the Seven Layer Dip complete with taco seasoning and refried beans. I find Seven Layer Salad to be just as pleasing to party guests.

The 7 Layer Salad

6 cups lettuce (preferably Iceberg)
5 hard cooked eggs, sliced
1 cup thawed peas
8 to 16 ounces of cooked bacon
2 cups of Cheddar cheese
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 to 2 tsps sugar
1/4 cup of sliced scallions

Place three cups of lettuce in the bottom of a large bowl. Add the salt and papper. Lay the eggs over the lettuce in the bowl, then add the peas. Add a little more salt and pepper then add the bacon. It is advisable to crumble the bacon before laying it over the peas. Put the remaining cups of lettuce over the bacon. Combine the sugar and mayonnaise and spread the mixture over the top layer of lettuce. Cover and chill for at least twenty four hours. Use the sliced scallions and paprika as garnish.
