One is known for his uber-athletisim, brute strength, and uncanny ability to make his teammates better. The other for his second to none scoring ability, insatiable hunger for victory, and “Michael -like” knack for the big moment. Unless you have been residing under a rock for the past couple years, you would know that I am referring to none other than Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. Yes, the question of the NBA’s best has become a two man race.
The comparisons are extremely sticky, considering the two have contrasting playing styles and are in two different points in their careers. The topic is certainly a hotbed for controversy among fans.
The King, (25 years old) is in his seventh season and will be making his sixth all-star game, he has led his team to 4 consecutive playoff appearances (one of which was an NBA Finals appearance) and is the reigning NBA MVP.
On the other hand, the Black Mamba (31 years old) is the proud owner of 4 NBA championship rings, the owner of his own MVP trophy, and has been to 11 all star games of his own.
With all of their individual accomplishment they both took part in winning the gold medal on the “Redeem Team” who took the gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Given all of their individual accolades, the question is: How do you differentiate who the best all around player in the league is? Seeing that there is no real way to choose based on ability, I see it fit to take it to the next best thing; and that is fashion.
Check out the pics below and see who you would give the nod to.
P.S. I am going with #23. Cleveland Stand Up.
